Υποδεχθείτε το Startup Safary Athens στο Corallia

Μαρούσι, 22.11.2014: Καλωσορίζοντας το Startup Safary Athens που διοργανώνεται για πρώτη φορά στην Αθήνα στο πλαίσιο της Παγκόσμιας Εβδομάδας Επιχειρηματικότητας, οι χώροι του Corallia στο α2-innohub (Λ. Κηφισίας 44, Monumental Plaza-Κτήριο Γ, Μαρούσι) θα ανοίξουν τις πόρτες τους, το Σάββατο 22 Νοεμβρίου στις 10.30 πμ και θα υποδεχτούν το κοινό της ελληνικής start-up σκηνής. To Corallia, με τη συμμετοχή του στο Startup Safary Athens, στοχεύει στην ενημέρωση του κοινού, σχετικά με τις δράσεις που υλοποιεί για την προώθηση της επιχειρηματικότητας και της καινοτομίας. Αναπτύσσοντας clusters σε Βαλκάνια και Μαύρη Θάλασσα

Tekirdağ, 30-31.10.2014: Στο συνέδριο Days of Clusters 2014, που πραγματοποιείται στο Tekirdağ της Τουρκίας στις 30 και 31 Οκτωβρίου, συμμετέχει το Corallia. Η συμβολή του Corallia στις εργασίες του συνεδρίου εστίασε κυρίως στο μοντέλο ανάπτυξης clusters με πρακτικές εφαρμογές στην Ελλάδα και τη συνεισφορά στην καινοτομία και την επιχειρηματικότητα. Νέες συνεργασίες στη μικροηλεκτρονική, την αεροδιαστημική και τη δημιουργική βιομηχανία

Αθήνα 29.10.2014: Τα τρία clusters που συντονίζει το Corallia (gi-Cluster, mi-Cluster και si-Cluster) έδωσαν το παρών στην εκδήλωση της Ευρωπαϊκής Επιτροπής Cluster Μatchmaking Εvent, που πραγματοποιήθηκε στις Βρυξέλλες στις 20 Οκτωβρίου 2014. H εκδήλωση είχε ως στόχο την προώθηση της συνεργασίας μεταξύ των συνεργατικών σχηματισμών (clusters), έτσι ώστε να αναζητήσουν κοινά οράματα και να συνάψουν νέες συνεργασίες. Τα τρία clusters που συντονίζει το Corallia βρέθηκαν μεταξύ των 80 clusters που εκπροσωπήθηκαν στην εκδήλωση, όπου δόθηκε η ευκαιρία διερεύνησης ενδιαφέροντος για κοινές δράσεις. Συνολικά πραγματοποιήθηκαν 170 C2C (cluster-to-cluster) συναντήσεις με 100 cluster managers, που έφθασαν από 18 κράτη-μέλη της ΕΕ, καθώς και από την Τουρκία και τη Σερβία. Οι εκπρόσωποι των clusters από το Corallia είχαν επιμέρους συναντήσεις (one-to-one) με 6 clusters σε διαφορετικούς τομείς δραστηριότητας. Corallia participates in the new European Cluster strategy for Growth

Brussels, 23.10.2014: Corallia was invited at the European Cluster Conference 2014 addressing the role of clusters in support of SME growth, industrial renewal and regional structural change and competitiveness. The conference was held in Brussels (20-21 October) aiming to discuss latest trends and challenges for modern cluster policies and to identify priority areas for a new European Cluster Strategy for Growth. Capitalising on its experience on the application of the cluster model, Corallia paraticipated in the break-out session on the strategic partnerships and excellence of cluster organisations. The conference gathered over 300 stakeholders consiting of key policy-makers from the European, national and regional authorities, practitioners and high-level speakers from academia and idustry. The new Ambassador of Israel to Greece visits Corallia

Maroussi, 23.10.2014: The new Ambassador of Israel to Greece, Ms. Irit Ben-Abba visited Corallia yesterday. Corallia's Executive Team welcomed the Israeli Ambassador, Ms. Irit Ben-Abba, who was accompanied by Mrs. Nelly Leon, Economic Coordinator at the Embassy of Israel. The delegation was particulary informed on current activity fields by Prof. Vassilios Makios, General Director of Corallia and discussed the cooperation schemes developed in the frame of the three highly-specialised clusters coordinated by Corallia, namely, the gi-Cluster (Innovative Gaming Technologies and Creative Content), the mi-Cluster (Nano/Microelectronics-based Systems and Applications) and the the si-cluster (Space Technologies and Applications). Emphasis was also given to the youth entrepreneurship acceleration programme and the international collaborations established. Corallia participates in European policy making for the Creative Economy

Brussels, 9 October 2014: Coaligned with the European interest focused on the rapidly developing Creative Economy, Corallia actively contributes to European policy making in this sector, building synergies and promoting strategic positions for the development of the Greek Creative Industries. During the European Week of Regions and Cities (Open Days 2014), organised by the European Commissions' Directorate General for Regional and Urban Policy and Committee of the Regions in Brussels. Corallia's representatives met Mr. Luigi Vitiello, Deputy Head of Unit Textiles, Fashion, Design and Creative Industries, European Commission. The main objectives of the meeting pertained to the need for support as well as proposals for measures to be undertaken in order to promote Creative Economy in Europe. FEAC Engineering, an egg team, in NASA's Software Tech Briefs

Athens, 24.09.14: FEAC Engineering, one of the teams participating in the 2nd cycle of the programme "egg - enterˑgrowˑgo", will be involved in the development of the most powerful superconducting electromagnet at CERN. The team's contribution was particlulary mentioned in the current issue of NASA's Software Tech Briefs with reference in the article "Designing smaller magnets for the large hadron collider". Hosted in the egg accelerator, FEAC is a start-up, powerful, engineering company specialized in Simulation Driven Product Development. FEAC's top level and awarded services range from CAD drafting, advanced multi-physics Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to design optimization techniques and Structural Health Monitoring (SHM), by using state-of-the-art Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) tools. Public consultation on the "Small Business Act"

EU SME Instrument: first 155 winners of grants announced

Brussels, 18.09.2014: The European Commission published a list of the 155 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that will be first to benefit from its new €3 billion SME Instrument. 155 SMEs from 21 countries will each receive €50,000 to finance feasibility studies for their projects, and they can also benefit from up to three days of business coaching. After that, their projects may be considered for further financial support from the Commission worth up to €2.5 million. The SME instrument was launched under Horizon 2020, the EU's new €80 billion research funding programme, to help innovative small firms get innovative projects from the lab to the market.
